Subject teacher

The programme gives 60 ECTS at Masters level in the English system of vocational education and is accredited in cooperation with Crossfields Institute. A new course will start in the fall of 2018 given that we get enough applicants.

General description: You have subject knowledge for teaching in secondary school or upper secondary school but lack pedagogical competence. You are looking to immerse yourself in educational ideas and develop yourself as a teacher and to develop Waldorf education. Studies on WLH’s subject teacher programme gives you opportunities to translate subject knowledge, practical experience, and different theories about learning and learning processes to didactic knowledge and skills for teaching in the Waldorf school grades 7-12.

The programme provides knowledge about various pedagogical and didactic approaches to art, education, society and learning, and didactic specialization within your own subject area. The training is based on theoretical, practical and artistic course elements.

Disposition: Part-time studies during 2 years.

Acceptance requirements: Secondary school diploma as well as documented subject knowledge.

Location: WLH’s premises in Bromma, Stockholm.
